The town of Strasbourg is situated on the border between France and Germany. Strasbourg is Alsatian, and everything here is a combination of these two cultures, especially the food and drink. Strasbourg is a stunningly beautiful city. Petite France, the historic part of the city, is a UNESCO world heritage site. It's unlike any place we have ever been, as picturesque as you can get. And the food...well, they are very into meats here, and sauerkraut and spaetzle. Actually, the food is more German than it is French but you see elements of French food poking out in menus and in the style of certain dishes. The famous dish, Choucroute Garnie, is a gut busting pile of sauerkraut with a variety of different pork based meat and sausage piled on top. If you want to eat here, you better come hungry.
