We had a quiet final day in Berlin, just walking around and snacking on the ubiquitous and delicious Donër Kebabs. A pita style bread, piled high with chicken or lamb, shredded cabbage and lettuce, sliced white onion and garlic yogurt sauce, this Turkish street food is an inextricable part of the Berlin culinary scene. Like pizza in NYC. You cannot come to this city and not try one.
By 8:00 pm we had touched down in Orly Airport in Paris and by 9:30 we were sitting at a tiny table on the sidewalk of a great neighborhood restaurant, around the corner from our temporary apartment at 32 Rue Rodier in the Ninth Arrondisement. This is a really magical city, and we cannot wait to settle in and explore. Two weeks in Paris, here we come!
