The Parc Des Buttes Chaumont is a beautiful park outside central Paris. It is a very striking park, Central Park-esque, with winding roads through lush green trees, an impressive waterfall, a wonderful bridge stretching high above a lake and rolling hills. A definite must go if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We picked up a baguette and headed out there to settle down for a few hours. Inside the park there was a great cafe where we were able to pick up picnic supplies, and voila, a Paris picnic was born! As the weather was so warm and perfect today, we also checked out some other great outdoor spaces, including the very interesting and unusual Parc de la Vilette and one of two Paris Plage locations: a temporary beach set up on the banks of a river.
